Top filmmaker Karan Johar becoming a father

Bollywood celebrity Karan Johar has become the parent of twins- a girl and a boy, Roohi and Yash, who were born through surrogacy. The filmmaker’s parenthood has taken the ‘tinsel town’ by surprise. Just like many other celebrities, Karan Johar decided to have surrogate children.

The babies were born at Masrani Hospital in Andheri in Mumbai in February. Reportedly, the civic officials said that the births were registered with the public health department. As per the registration of birth, Johar has been mentioned as the father while there was no mention of the name of the mother. Johar has in the past, at multiple times expressed his desire to father children. His recently released autobiography,

The Unsuitable Boy also talks about adopting a child or having a surrogate child. In a letter to media, Karan said, “I am ecstatic to share with you all the two most wonderful additions to my life, my children, and lifelines; Roohi and Yash. I feel enormously blessed to be a parent to these pieces of my heart who were welcomed into this world with the help of the marvels of medical science.”
